Earth Day and Global Warming

Sunday was Earth Day and almost all politicians had their view on how to slow down global warming.

I still cant understand what Karl Rove was ranting when he said to Laurie David and Sheryl Crow that China was not doing enough thus neither should we.

The (IPCC) has issued its report on global warming Download SUMMARY FOR POLICYMAKERS.

Since the theory is that human actions are causing the planet to heat to this catastrophic degree, what then can we do to reverse it?

You can tell that the administration is settling into a bunker mentality. Don't be surprised if the Decider has a public meltdown pretty soon...

It's a tough problem with no easy solutions, which is probably why the Right has such a fun time dismissing it.

I guess if each individual tries to make his/her "footprint" as small as possible, that should make a difference. Drive a fuel-efficient car, turn off the lights when you aren't using them -- hundreds of little things like that. It all adds up.

tom you are right, it's a tough problem with no easy solutions.

Greetings,
I am about to leave a comment and loose a reader...but I hope not because I like your writing anyway.
Have you looked into the mounds of data that suggest that while the Earth is heating up, it is being caused BY THE SUN and NOT by us?
I don't want to leave a book on your comment line, but if one takes a graph of the heat increase upon Mars and lay it in relation to sun distance of the temp. on Earth, one finds them to be ALMOST THE SAME. This would lend one to find STRONG theory that man is NOT causing it.
Having said that - do I think that if we get the tar, gas, fumes, FILL IN THE BLANK_______, out of our air that we would live longer, healthier, and with less fear of cancer and poor health? YES I DO and I hope it happens.
Sam
PS - I have a new one up if you wish to see it.

I have no argument to make about what you believe. I find it strange that some would omit what over 2000 of the worlds best in this field thinks about whom and what is causing global warming.
