Bush Filling Up Valhalla

It would seem our President implemented the surge to protect the new 104 acres embassy being built in Iraq.

The Valhalla, should be full very soon, because a proposal to extend the tour of duty for every active duty soldier in Iraq by three (3), months is waiting for approval.

The fortress-like compound rising beside the Tigris River in Bagdad will be the largest of its kind in the world, the size of Vatican City, with the population of a small town.

We are not intending to leave Iraq, not when BP and Shell in Britain, and Exxon and Chevron in the US, will be signing deals of up to 30 years to extract Iraq’s oil and live in the new embassy that is being built to house them.

There's no way this President will agree to bring our soldiers home anytime soon, they are needed to insure the safety and protection of the new embassy and oil that will be flowing out of Iraq.

The surge will probably go on through all of this year and into 08, with no let up on the all volunteer service.

This President shows a lot of nepotism to oil companies and big business, at the expense of our soldiers. This move is very pithy and I'm sure that our Congress and Senate knows about it.

There's a law called the hydrocarbon law and if passed, the law will make available to Exxon/Mobil, Chevron/Texaco, BP/Amoco, and Royal Dutch/Shell about 4/5’s of the stupendous petroleum reserves in Iraq.

So, Valhalla had better make room, because we are not coming out of Iraq any time soon... look for the veto.

What say you?

We're gonna be over there for a looong time. Might as well just cut to the chase and make Iraq our 51st state. We own their oil and their slaves, er, people.

It seems that our military and the American people are the slaves, er, people, who are caught between paying for a war that we do not want and letting our sons and daughters fight a fight that should have never been.

Yes I agree with you Tom, we had better get use to being in Iraq for a very long time... as your post, this new embassy, will consist of a lot of oil men and business men and women.

We've got to keep them safe, and secure with our, ALL VOLUNTEER SERVIVE. The best thing to happen for our chickenhawks and couch-coaches.

I like the Valhalla reference! So much of Dubya's outlook seems based on superstition or myth, such a reference is highly appropriate. And yeah, I think our troops will be there for a long long time, even if a Dem gets into the White House and there is still a Dem-controlled Congress in 08... because the oil companies just have too much power and influence, and also because gee, we've built all those military bases over there... it would be such a shame to have to tear them all down when we leave, right? We couldn't leave them there for the Islamists to use! Heh...

Yes, this President is in la la Land with no end to his madness in sight.

I cant believe, he and his administration could think that everyone in the United States are dumb, yes dumb. How else would they say that e-mail has been lost or erased.

How long must we put up with this!

I've said from the beginning that we might as well adopt Iraq because we are going to be spending a lot of money, time and lives before we allow it to grow and be on its own.

Yes pissed off patricia, a lot of time, money and life will be wasted there and they want us out--what's the logic of this madness?
