New Spin, Wait For President Memoir To Hear The Truth!

Gloria Borger, John King and Jack Cafferty discuss the book by Scotty McClellan in which he said, "I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice President, the President’s chief of staff, and the president himself."

Gloria Borger said that nobody wants to see the President accused of lying over a leak that was really just a technicality anyway that we ought to just wait until Bush writes his memoir to find out the truth (I'm so not kidding. I wish I were) about whatever happened because really nobody cares anymore.

Jack Cafferty brought her back to earth and told her just what was needed by this President: He should tell the American people the truth!

Cafferty said the buck stops at the top with the President and we should not have to wait for his memoir to hear the truth.

What say you?

Amazing. Why is it everyone gives this horrendous president a pass on every heinous thing he has done? If Bill Clinton were accused of these lies, the GOP Congress - and the media - would have been slavering over this news like wolves over their kill. I just don't get it.

since when can treason possibly be 'old news'?

from here, it looks like the MSM has egg on its face for all the passes it has given this president ever since he stole his first election.

now, they just want to save their own pride -- the hell with the country.
xxx
and, now, they're saying BUSH will tell the truth after he's out of office?
**snort** yeah, right.

LET'S TALK said...

Hi Mauigirl, that's the problem, our MSM has given this President too much of a pass on everything and so has the Republican/conservative party.

We really need to get our Congress to start an investigation on this President.

LET'S TALK said...

Hi two crows, Bush will never tell the truth, onlt an investigation will bring out the truth for this man and his administration.

Lying to the public? The President? Oooh! Ahhh!

We have been played and played again and then these jerks make money off of it.

I must run, but I had to say this.

Great post. Sorry I have not been visiting as much, not much time lately!!!

I say our president is so fully up to his eyeballs in the bullsh*t of this last 8 years, he's forgotten HOW to tell the truth.. I really don't think he's capable, I think he probably even believes some of the lies he tells by now himself! Liars do that, they forget they are liars, and end up convincing themselves.

I get so angry when I hear that old line about waiting to see what history says about this. I don't want to wait until then and like Jack said, wouldn't it be nice to get the truth from our President? Impeach the bastard and all the crooks in his administration. The President is not innocent in this. If he was, he wouldn't have commuted Libby's sentence. I'm convinced that if he didn't do that, Libby would have let the world know that it was Bush who allowed the Plame leak. Libby wouldn't have taken that fall for nothing...he was going to sing and Bush knew it.

LET'S TALK said...

Hi FranIAm, This President has no respect or concern for the American people. So his lies is part of what this type of person does.

LET'S TALK said...

Hi Mary Ellen and yes I think we are both on the same page with this. I can only agree with you 100%.

Like you said Mary Ellen, Libby wouldn't have taken that fall for nothing...he was going to sing and Bush knew it. How true you are!

Fran said...

This president should be impeached and the vp along with him, God forbid we get stuck with that mess!

Now we hear Bush's lies for the price of a destroyed economy and the blood of our soldiers.

Then we will have to pay for Bush's version of the "truth" with a still devasted economy, thousands of gallons of blood from the troops, plus $25.95 for a book of withered fiction.

The Future Was Yesterday said...

Aside from the fact Scotty must be the dumbest human being on this planet, I truly believe our biggest enemy in this election, will be the MSM.

Mary Ellen said...

the future was yesterday- Ugh...I blame the MSM for getting Bush "selected" in the first place and for our being in Iraq. They hyped everything Bush did and never questioned him. The whole time the progressives were screaming at the TV that Bush was lying when he said we wouldn't go to war with Iraq unless we had no other choice, the MSM were singing Bush's praises and telling everyone he was going to keep us safe from the big bad terrorists.

The MSM is just as much at fault for the mess we are in as Bush is.

LET'S TALK said...

I agree FranIAm, he and Cheney should be impeached. I hope this is enough for Pelosi to place it back on the table.

LET'S TALK said...

Outstanding comment Larry!

LET'S TALK said...

I agree The Future Was Yesterday, I hope that we get through this without a whole lot of what went on during the 2000 and 04 elections.

LET'S TALK said...

Great points Mary Ellen, I hope we don't allow this to happen again!

I would not believe a word the liar would ever put in print, he is busy now throwing a temper tantrum because he has not got yet an up-ended and no accountability commitment to this 'rat hole' (quoted in the S.F Chronicle)

What Bush and his cronies want is more money and screw the Americans, screw the middle-class just give us all your money to stay in Iraq while the so called political Iraqi government leaders set on their duffs and get fat while Americans cater to their needs, this is what the administration and it's cronies want, no strings and no accountability.

LET'S TALK said...

I just hope Congress or Waxman open a investigation about what know is and put an end to this President run.

It's strange that things are going on around him, yet he never knows anything about it.

That was the most ridiculous statement! Who does she think the American Public is? We have not forgotten about this issue! It is like saying Ooops! Didn't mean it.

Bush needs to stop hiding behind his own rhetoric and tell the truth!

i have always hated Gloria Borger -- she is a smug asshat and a closet bush-lover. just watch her on the sunday puke fests

as for "bush's memoirs" --- i would rather read "my pet goat" --- it would have a more truth

Remember Ronnie, the "teflon president?" This is like, the slicker-n-snot president - nothing sticks!

Ron Davison said...

Oh, give the guy a break. All he did was “out” an undercover CIA agent and then lie about it – all in an attempt to undermine critics who may’ve derailed his hijacking of this country into a disastrous war. Get over it and wait for his memoir sounds like sage advice.

LET'S TALK said...

Hi Jude's BlogLoggin and welcome to Let's Talk.

"Bush needs to stop hiding behind his own rhetoric and tell the truth!"

I think we deserve that, great point Jude's BlogLoggin.

LET'S TALK said...

Distributorcap, I know what you mean about reading pet goat and finding more of truth than what this President memoirs would.

LET'S TALK said...

Hi Scruffybutt and welcome to Let's Talk. You are correct, nothing sticks to this President just as long as the MSM continue to ignore his presents in such corruption and we just forget about it as well.

LET'S TALK said...

Hi Ron Davison, and welcome to Let's Talk. I hope this is the first of many visits. I think we can no longer continue to give this guy a break when everything that he has done seems to hurt this country and the people in it.

He needs to give us a break and leave, now!
