Senator's Jim Webb And Lindsay Graham Have It Out

Yesterday on Meet the Press, Senator Jim Webb and Senator Lindsay Graham had it out on the Troops in Iraq and the Presidents surge. This is a must see!

Republicans have always out talked Democrats to get their point accross and yes, in the past the Democrats would allow them to do just that. Now there's a new day and a new sheriff in town. The Democrats are having none of that anymore as Senator Graham found out from Senator Webb.

Good for Senator Webb!

Only a neocon could have the arrogance to suggest that duty as a JAG lawyer is as demanding or dangerous as that of anyone involved in the actual fighting.

I mean, that IS all Graham has done with regard to military service, right?

Anyway, even though Webb isn't from the state in which I live, he is from the same region and I am really proud of him. He has nerve, determination and a CONSCIENCE!

Imagine that. :)

Graham is beating a tired old line that people are fed uo with.

My only problem with Webb is he voted to fund the war he wants to end.

equestrian1, Graham seemed high or something. I'm not an expert on that but he sure seemed strange.

I really liked what I saw with Webb, he really took it to Graham.

Larry, just like others in the House and Senate there wasn't much of a choice with the funding.

Have you ever noticed that the repubs seem to always ave some kind of tantrum, ie always raise their voice and attempt to talk over anyone who disagrees with them?

It's not lost on me, and graham, well, who can take this war monger seriously? ; (

I started to notie how they would attempt to talk over anyone during the first election of Bush and after 9/11. The Dems. seem to have got it somewhat together and keep talking as they do.

I happened to catch that this weekend. Good stuff. Webb isn't willing to back down and accept the repeated lines that don't reflect reality.

That was awesome. The Dems should send Webb to do more of these shows. He's got a spine -- how refreshing!

Political Realm, this was a Democrat fianlly standing up to a Republican talking points ploy of trying to over talk the Democrats.

Lizzy, I was shocked to see Wbb respone in this manner, finally some backbone.

Repugs have always tried to use screaming and scare tactics to get their way, and I as well as I'm sure everyone else was thrilled that finally one of them got what he deserved! There is definately a new sheriff in town and a wind of change too!EXCELLENT post!

FunkyTown Fighter, it's good to hear from you. I'll be over to your site to see if you have posted.

Yes I really liked seeing this Senator take up for himself and not be over talked.

Isn't Webb the one who pissed off Bush by snubbing him when asked about his son?

LET'S TALK said...

He sure does Q.

Thank God for Jim Webb. I think he'll be Swiftboat-proof, no matter what the rightwing hate machine tries to come up with. And try they will.

Tom Harper, I got a feeling they might leave him be... if you know what I mean.
