WHAT IS GOING ON WITH FOX NEWS AND CHRIS WALLAS, AND NEWS AND HEALTH

What is going on with the Fox Channel and the slogan they use, Fair and Balance. If you missed the show Sunday morning, here's what was said.

WALLACE: Senator Levin, I want to change subjects with you. You have joined a chorus of Democrats who have accused this president and this administration of basically misleading, some say even lying, the country into this war.
And I want to ask you about one specific case, if I can. You've charged repeatedly that the president said before the war that you couldn't distinguish between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda. Aren't you distorting what the president actually said

LEVIN: No, that's exactly what his words were.

WALLACE: That you couldn't distinguish.

LEVIN: That's exactly right.

WALLACE: Well, let's take a look at what the president actually said in September of 2002. Here it is.

GEORGE W. BUSH, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: Both of them need to be dealt with. The War on Terror is — you can't distinguish between Al Qaeda and Saddam when you talk about the War on Terror. I can't distinguish between the two because they're both equally as bad.

WALLACE: The point, Senator, is he wasn't saying that Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda were linked. He was specifically asked which one is more dangerous, and he was saying he couldn't distinguish and say one was more dangerous than the other.

LEVIN: Yes, but what he also said in the same sentence was that Saddam Hussein would like nothing more than to use a terrorist network to attack and to kill, and that is not what the intelligence was, which said that Saddam Hussein was, quote, "intensely secular, wary of Islamic revolutionary movements."
That's what the intelligence was, and yet the president tried to link those two, and he did so much so much so that the majority of the American people — the majority of the American people believed, when we went to war, that Saddam Hussein had attacked us on 9/11. And on the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln immediately following the war, when he said mission accomplished, the president of the United States said we have removed an ally of Al Qaeda. Those were exactly his words. They were not allies.

WALLACE: Senator, he was specifically...

LEVIN: The intelligence community...

WALLACE: Senator, if I can ask a question here, he specifically was asked at one point if there was any evidence that Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11, and he said no, there wasn't. And again, because — you know, we can go into all of these things, but that specific quote there where you say he couldn't distinguish between Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein — he wasn't saying that they were linked at all.
He was saying one was as bad as the other, and when he said in that same answer something about that Saddam Hussein would like to use a terrorist network, he wasn't saying that they would like to use Al Qaeda. So you're making a link there that the president never made.

LEVIN: He made the link so strong that the majority of the American people believed, when we went into Iraq, that Saddam Hussein had actually attacked us on 9/11.
Where do you think the American people got that impression from except from their leaders? And he specifically, again, on the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, when that big banner was up there, mission accomplished, he said we have removed an ally of Al Qaeda. How much more link can there be?

WALLACE: So even after we played that sound bite that indicates that he didn't say that you couldn't distinguish, meaning that they were linked, you're still saying that that's what he said, even after you've heard what he actually said.

LEVIN: No, he said exactly what you said. He'd like nothing more — what you said, when you talk about the War on Terror, you can't distinguish between Al Qaeda and Saddam.
He then went on to say what you said. But then he went on further to say that Saddam Hussein would like to use a terrorist group against the United States, but that's not what the intelligence was saying.
The specific CIA intelligence was that assisting — assisting — Islamic terrorists against the United States would be an extreme measure for Saddam Hussein, and so the CIA was saying that there was no operational effective link at all, and yet the president, the vice president...

WALLACE: Actually, the CIA...

LEVIN: ... and other people were...

WALLACE: Senator, Senator, again, I think you're distorting the information. The director of the CIA, George Tenet, testified before Congress that, in fact, there were links and that there had been training.
I don't know, Senator Lugar, you've got a...

LEVIN: No, no, not training.

Talk about Fair and balance, was the world not watching what really went on with President Bush and the war. Mr. Wallas should write a book on propaganda and how to make a liar look innocent.




MINIMUM WAGE: HOW THE CONGRESS, SENATE,
BUSINESS AND LOBBYIST KEEP AVERAGE WORKERS POOR.

The Fair Labor Standard Act, covers private and public employment. It requires employers to pay the federal minimum wage. Now I agree that some type of help should be given to the small business person, but when you are talking about a business that rely on people working for a little of nothing and mostly with no type of medical insurance, then I draw the line.

How can anyone work for $5.15 an hour and take care of a family or just themselves? The average worker, who is poor, has been working for $5.15 since 1997, that's about $10,712 a year way below the poverty line.

Now ask yourself Mr. and Mrs. small business, could you and your family make it on the type of pay that you expect the average worker to make it on?

For seven years the Senate, and Congress has been on a wine and dine date with the Lobbyist, who protect the big business/small business, while the average worker has caught hell. Didn't Katrina show you just how bad it was with the type of pay you have allowed to be paid to the average worker.

Halliburton was awarded a no bid contract to fix several military bases in the Gulf Coast region.

OIL-FOR-FOOD OPENS UP A CAN OF WORMS FOR UNITED STATES

Oscar Wyatt is Former chairman of Coastal Corp. and owner of Wyatt Foreign Companies. He was arrested in Huston, Texas for obtaining oil under the United Nations oil-for-food program. It is stated that he and others paid millions of dollars in secret kick backs to Saddam Hussein's regime in Irag.

Midway Trading Reston an oil trading company pleaded guilty to grand larceny in the UN oil-for-food scandal and will pay a $250,000 dollars fine. They paid $440,000 dollars in kick backs to the Iragi offices.

In 1996 the oil-for-food program was launched by the United Nations to help Irag coup with the UN Sanctions. Money paid for crude oil was suppose to be for humanitarian goods.

It is believed that $10.2 billion dollars through kick backs and other illegal sales was packeted by Saddams government.

SOCIAL SECURITY CHECKS UP 4.1 %

For the year 2006 there will be a 4.1% increase in the social security check, but wait.......$39.00.
The 4.1% will be about $39.00 and every month you will have a deduction of $37.00, I think this gives you a $2.00 increase right........maybe.......
Medicare announced its premiums would be 13% in 2006, that's about $10.30 more per month.
If you choose the new Medicare prescription drug benefits, then you may pay $43.00 a month or if you spend more than the $2,250 dollars before the end of the year, then you must pay the next $3,500 dollars and after $5,100 dollars your Medicare will start back paying 95% of your drug cost.........Don't the law state that your Medicare premiums cannot be more than the Social Security increase ? .........Some increase.......but wait ......there are programs to help the poor or low income, if the Federal and State come up with some type of agreement. GOOD LUCK AMERICA.

GAS AT THE PUMP AND HEATING GAS

I must confess that I drive an SUV and I have a regular car also. Now the gas that I must pay for the SUV is $55.00 and $30.00 for my regular car and I am getting very nervous because Winter is coming and so are those heating bills. I'm told that the heating bills for this coming year wil be 30%-50% more than last year. What is going on people.

WHAT IS THE DAVIS BACON ACT

In 1927 an Alabama Contractor won a bid at the Veterans Hospital in Long Island, New York. He came with his crew and ran into problems because he was Black and so was his crew.
Senators Robert Bacon and James J. Davis came up with (H.R. 17009), which denied any unskilled or nonunion workers to work on Federal property and be paid the same as union and skilled workers. This bill was a Jim Crow Law to keep Blacks from getting the jobs that whites wanted.

Now for years Blacks have said that this was unfair and tried to have it suspended. Katrina came through New Orleans and the Base there was damaged and someone has given a no bid contract to rebuild the Base to a company that we all know so well. The President has suspended the Davis Bacon Act, so that workers can come from another country to work in New Orleans and be paid less than what union and skilled workers are paid.....someone will get rich.....why not hire the people from New Orleans and pay them fair wages.....after all is said and done, who will live in New Orleans after the work is done....whats wronge with this picture?

MEDICARE PRESCRIPTION DRUG BENEFIT

On January 1, 2006 Medicare will add a new prescription drug benefit. If you recieve Medicare you must decide if you want to enroll, the dates are between Novenber 15, 2005 and May 15, 2006. If you join by December 31, 2005 your Medicare prescription drug will begin on January 1, 2006. If you join after that, your coverage will begin the first day of the month after you enroll. When you enroll in Medicare, you will be able to enroll in a prescription drug plan.

If you wait after this year and decide to enroll, then you will pay a higher premium, which by the way the premium for each month will be 33.15. Some plans will be more, others less maybe. You must pay the first $250 deductible of the drug cost every year. Medicare will pay 75% of the next $2,000 of your cost. and you pay 25% of this costs or $500.

After your drug cost reach $2,250, you will pay 100% of the drug cost on the next $2,850. After your out-of-pocket drug costs, not including premiums, reach $3,600 ($250 deductible + $500 coinsurance + $2,850 coverage gap), Medicare will start paying 95% of your drug cost. How in the world did the AARP agree with this.

Starting in October, if you plan to enroll you can go to www.medicare.gov and at- Finding a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan, choose your plan and good luck. After choosing a plan you will enroll with that private company and keep in mind that after a year, the company that you picked, has the right to opt. out of this service to you.

REMEMBER IF YOU DECIDE TO ENROLL AT A LATTER DATE YOUR PREMIUM WILL BE HIGHER!

HUTCHINSON-GILFORD PROGERIA SYNDROME

WINDOWSXP REINSTALL

I've been to a lot of sites and saw a lot of people reinstall WindowsXP and have all kinds of problems. Before I say anything else about these problems get your floopy disk or blank cd in your computer and copy wpa.dbl, it can be found in C:\Windows\system32. Now the next time you reinstall windows find your floopy or cd with wpa.dbl and copy it back on to your reinstalled windows in C:\system32 , that way you want have to reactivate WindowsXP.

WINDOWS GEUINE ADVANTAGE

I've had a problem with Windows Geuine Advatage. I went to C:\windows\system32 to find the .dll and the file "Legit Check Control.DLL" was there, I checked regedit in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-Classes-CLSID-and strolled down to find 17492023-C23A-453E-A040-C7C580BB and everything was ok, I went online and in my tools I clicked Mange Ad ons and next I went to show and clicked ads that has been used by internet explorer, I clicked advantage and enable and activateX and OK. Now if this don't seem to work for you then disable instead of enable and try to re-download the windows advantage.

KEEP YOUR COMPUTER SPEED

Don't forget to click start, click accessories, click system tools, click disk clean. After cleaning go to start, click accessories, click system tools, click disk defragmenter and defrag your computer. Another thing to do is click start, click run, and type in CHKDSK and click ok. This should speed up your computer.

100 Employees at IBM are being trained to teach , yes teach Math and Science in the school system. This is a good start if the 100 new teachers are placed in a Tittle I school where they are really needed. Students in other countries will are have already surpassed the students in the USA in Math and Science and IBM might feel that by placing these employees in a more advanced school (Private Schools), might help our students catch up with other countries much faster.

CRCT



In the State of Georgia, our School system requires our Middle School 8th graders to pass what is known as the CRCT test. If a student can not pass said test, he or she will not be promoted to the next grade.

I have contacted the school system and searched the Web for some type of book, guildline or study guide for said test.
I was told by the school system that there shouldn't be a booklet to teach the test, but there's a test booklet to teach how to study and guildlines to help pass the SAT.

Am I the only one who finds what the school system is doing some what backwards?
