Telling It As It Is And Not Causing Hate!

As I read a lot of other blogs, I hear playing race card and race tones all over their comment sections. Are we blind to what is going on in America? Why can't we see the real issues and start from there?

Whomever gets the nomination from the Democratic party will get my vote and that is all to it. All lies and hate should be put aside and those that are starting it should really look at what is going on in the Democratic party.

Obama response:

Would you prefer McCain to Obama as our next President, what say you?

i am amazed that the 40% or so of the population that calls themselves Democrats and the 20-25% that calls themselves Independents are letting McCain have a free ride --- and continue to persuade people how great he is.....

it will take time to undo all his good will (tho the press will go kicking and screaming since they love this guy, likde they loved bush)..

i am really scared that mccain will waltz right in to the white house in jan. theorretically he should lose ALL 50 states.....

I agree distributorcap, McCain will waltz right into the White House if this continues.

If the drive to go is that strong, there's something very wrong inside the Democratic party, and I'm afraid there is.
Everyone knows I've already played this fight out for myself out for myself - others will have to as well.
McCain won't get my vote - but there have been some things happen (and are still happening) in the Democratic camp that do not bode well for the future. I hoped for better, I expected better, and I won't be making those two mistakes again.
The powers that be have the apathy machine in full gear, by the time November gets here the only people that care at all to vote will be the ones filled with bigotry and hate.

1138, I've taken my hat off to you long ago, because you called a spade a spade long before all others could see the ways of some in the Democratic party.

Things have come to light and some of us see that certain people will say and do anything to become President and that includes destroying the Democratic party.

I still prefer Obama over Hillary, but I'll vote for whichever one gets the Dem nomination. But even if McCain wins, it won't be a total disaster: for the first time in 20 years the president's last name won't be Bush or Clinton.

And I think Congress will be more Democratic after the next election, no matter which way the White House goes. McCain will have a lot of trouble pushing his agenda if it's too extreme.

LET'S TALK said...

Great points Tom, we might just see that next year.

I'm with Tom Harper: I will vote Democratic, regardless. I don't like Mrs. Clinton, and she would wind up being the "ANYONE but McCain" candidate for me. I am FOR Obama, I like him.

But it is a moot point, because I believe that McCain has it sewn up, the same way Bush had it all sewn up. That's a "polite" way of saying I smell massive vote fraud and irregularities.

There were too many typos in my last try, let me try this again!

I found your blog linked at Snave's place and decided to come check things out. This is a good blog you have!

I have been away from America for a while and what news and editorial opinions I get I tend to find on the internet. I find it odd that when America so clearly needs to rid itself of the hatred and fear tactics, the Democratic party engages in infighting that threatens to not only destroy what little unity there is in the party, but to also allow John McCain to become the next president.

If I was able to vote, I would probably vote for Barack Obama. I think he wants to talk about things that are important, and I think his opponents Clinton and McCain are calling him names and telling voters how to feel about Obama. McCain and Clinton don't want to talk about such things as racial issues or voter frustration, and they don't know how to tell Americans "I don't want to talk about those things!" They wouldn't WANT to tell Americans those things, but I think that is what they are saying by the way they respond to Obama when he tells voters he can understand how they might feel bitter about some things.

I think Barack Obama is the most human of the three candidates. Not that Clinton and McCain aren't human, but they don't seem to talk and think in terms of human lives as much as Obama does. I hope he can win, for the sake of America and its people.

Power to the people.

Oh my goodness, DivaJood! I have not heard from since I do not know when.

I will be right over to your site to see if there is new posts by you. Welcome back for good I hope!

DivaJood, I will also vote for whomever the Democratic nominee is, be it Hillary or Obama.

The way people are right now I get the same feeling as you and Tom. McCain will waltz into the White House next year.

Hi Tomcat, I read and commented on Class Warfare early today, I didn't have the time to read the next post but I will return and give it a read as well.

I normally read all your posts and just didn't have the time today.

Hello Donald and welcome to Let's Talk. Thanks first for stopping by and I hope that we can exchange links and visit one another more.

I will stop by your site later and pay a visit to your site.

In reference to your comment. I've stated that I have no dog in this fight but I jumped from the fence when lies started and unfair play started.

I will support whomever is the Democratic nominee and be just find with that vote, I just wish that others thought that way.

As an Obama supporter, I have said numerous times that if a miracle occurs and Hillary gets the nomination, I will support her and vote for her. I keep asking Hillary supporters to reciprocate and unfortunately, there are a few who said they would vote for McCain or not vote at all if Obama gets the nomination. There may be some Obama people out there that feel the same way, but I haven't run into any yet. We need to come together and if we can't bring ourselves to vote for the other guy or gal, pull their lever anyway and justify it as voting AGAINST McCain.

LET'S TALK said...

Robert Rouse, I've been wondering what happen to your site Blog World Report.

Do you have another site that takes up your time ? If so please let me know.

In reference to your comment I will vote for whomever gets the nod from the Democratic party. i just hope the hate or whatever it is leaves and we can move on to not allow McCain to walk into the White House next year.

I've read many posts on Obama's small towns/bitter people comments. None, not even my own modest effort, is better than the one by former Labor secretary, Dr. Robert Reich.

Interestingly, just before surfing over here, I watched a clip of Sen. Obama on C-SPAN in which he said he thinks the race between himself and Clinton has been good for him and for the party, and that he welcomes it.

First, he said, it's made him a better candidate because he's come up against a really strong competitor, one he respects for having hung in there through thick and thin.

Next, he said he's confident Democrats will come together after the race is settled, along with independents and even some dissatisfied Republicans.

I don't know that I'm quite as optimisitic as he is, but I have to admire his positive attitude and can-do spirit. It tells a lot about how he got where he is now. I think it also tells a lot about the kind of leader he would be if elected president.

Having said all that, I will repeat what I have said all along. I will vote for and support the Democratic nominee as if that person had been my first choice all along.

Four years of McCain following what Bush has done to this country would be a disaster. I think that even though I will allow McCain would probably be at least somewhat better than Bush has been.

But that is not good enough. Everyone, please do continue to declare your willingness to back the eventual Democratic nominee. Your example could very well help others see the good sense in doing the same.

LET'S TALK said...

Thanks for the Robert Reich link S.W. That was a great read.

I hope that Democrats can see through all of this play with words and find it in themselves to not be swaywd by false accusations.

Outstanding suggestion S. W. Anderson!

Only those who desire war, mass exodus of U.S jobs and the growing reality of an economic depression would embrace a McCain dictatorship.

I have been disgusted with HIllary attacking Obama on this. But guess what? The polls show that her attacks have hurt her. Obama is still up in the polls.

No way would I prefer McCain to Obama! ugh...

LET'S TALK said...

You've said a mouth full Larry, great point!

LET'S TALK said...

Anajo/Anijo/JoAnn, I've read a little about the polls earlier.

I think McCain is by far the worst President we could have next to Bush.
