Undecided Voters Wanted Fireworks!

In the debates last night, most undecided voters wanted to see fireworks! It seems that most Democrats are split over Clinton and Obama and are showing it by a lot of bickering over whom they would like to see as the Democratic nominee.

Will we get a nominee from the votes or will the Super delegates decided it for us during the conventions, what say you?

#1, that's a pretty small segment of "undecided" voters to be speaking for all of them, imo. It was a "by invite only" crowd in the first place, which makes all attendees suspect imo.
#2, Fox set that clip up. Which means a made for Fox Noise event.
#3, As a "very unhappy voter", I want to hear MUCH more substance, and MUCH less scripted sound bite lines.
#3, And finally, I want to see a MUCH bigger selection of choices, not just Bush Lite and Hope Pie In The Sky. Why did the rest drop out? Voters didn't want them. Hardly. Voters didn't even have a chance to get to know all of them. They all dropped out for one reason - money.

Just once, I'd like an election to be decided by MY vote....not money for TV commercials.

Fireworks are pretty, they're fun, but fireworks never ended a war or a recession. The fact these people wanted fireworks, shows what shallow idiots were invited.

I agree with your comment and yes Fox has its way of getting around what is actually truth and just made up stories for their watchers.

Right now I'm not picking a candidate and I'll just go with whomever the voters pick as the Democratic nominee.

I just dont think it should be put in the hands of the Super delegates.

is there any reason to believe that Fox didnt hand pick and stage this --- of course they did

integrity is NOT a word in the Fox style book.

Ailes will do ANYTHING to ensure the trashing of ANY democrat -----

Fox doesnt get around the truth, they dont even bother to hide the fact they are lying

I would like to believe that Americans value substance over style, but frankly I'm not seeing it.

I believe that most Americans are so disenfranchised, so alienated from the political process, that to them this election nothing more than just another television show.

hey, Larry--
fireworks can be pretty. and loud.
but, what matters is hearing about what someone will DO once they get into office.

that said, I'm storming around my house being pretty loud, myself, at the moment:
I just saw Ralph Nader announce that he is running for Spoiler again this year.

He just gave McCain the best chance he's had so far in his run for the White House.

Please go to the website of this egomaniac and tell him to get off the stage.

To answer Two Crows, I don't think Nader will make much difference. He ran in '04 and hardly anybody noticed him. He ruined everything in 2000 but ever since then he's been just a laughingstock and/or totally irrelevant.

About the post, I certainly don't want a few Superdelegates choosing the nominee. I can't make any prediction, but hopefully Obama's popularity will have enough momentum to trump the superdelegates' stranglehold.

I'll vote for Hillary if she gets nominated, but I really don't see much difference between her and McCain.

If we're deciding based on the records of each one, it doesn't make a "hill" of difference ;)

I will be as easy, or as uneasy, with either of them. Hill, frankly, has annoyed me greatly with her campaigning; that's one of the biggest of the black marks in the record of either of them. The other one, of course, is refusing to admit that giving the moronic monkey the authority to invade Iraq was a colossal mistake. And we all know who refuses to admit to that.

TC, beat me to my comment. Now the people who like neither Clinton nor Obama can choose Nader and thereby vote for McCain.

Great points Distributorcap!

I kinda have that same feeling ThomasLB, but we are in need of a Democrat running this country right now that it just don't matter.

LET'S TALK said...

Hi two crows, I don't think that Nader will make a difference in this election.

LET'S TALK said...

I think you are right Tom Harper.

LET'S TALK said...

TomCat, I just don't see anyone going to Nader and McCain over Hillary or Obama.

TomCat said...

LT, it's hard to imagine how anyone could be that stupid, but I've seen several comments in support of his candidacy already this morning.

Nader will not make a difference at all this time.

After 8 years of BushCo., a broken economy, 5+years in Iraq, Bin Ladin still hiding it's pretty clear that there's a real difference between Republicans and Democrats.

Mr. Nader may be too addle minded to see it, but America can.

1138, I think you are right, but I still have bad dreams resulting from a November night when I fell asleep happy that Gore would be President and awakened to an eight year nightmare.

At this point, how can anyone still be an undecided voter? That's hard to wrap my head around.

As for your question, I don't think this will go to the superdelegates. I predict Hill will drop out within the next 8 days.

LET'S TALK said...

I read your post on this matter tomcat and you make some good points, but I've recently found out that Nader must pay for the billls he had during the last run for President before he can do anything.

LET'S TALK said...

Great point 1138, which knocks out any reality that Nader has a chance to be a spoiler again.

LET'S TALK said...

TomCat, I think we all feel that!

LET'S TALK said...

Lizzy, I hope that you are right and this dosen't go to the superdelegates.

The stupid Naderites are as fanatical as Chimpletons. They're gonna "punish" the DNC by voting Nader.

They've ALREADY punished countless thousands of Iraqis and nearly 4,000 Americans with death sentences for their move in 2000. Strangely enough, the DNC continues to exist.

How much "punishment" do those assjacks intend to hand out?

I think either Obama will win enough delegates to decide the nomination before the convention or Hillary will drop out. If the Democrats end up going all the way to the convention before getting a nominee it will be a disaster. I am hoping if Hillary does not take Texas and Ohio and by big margins, she will do the right thing and drop out so the party can unify. But we shall see.
