LT, I just don't have thirteen minutes to spare today to listen to Rush spew garbage. So, I'll just violate ad hominem and disagree on principal.

I say I'm glad I can't watch streaming video on my work computer, or I'd have to throw up in my trash can. I don't even CARE what that moron says; I'm sure it's wrong, stupid, whiny, or all of those things and more.

WEll, there are many people whose ideas are influenced by the likes of people like Rush Limbaugh, and what he says often gets spread throught the internet and even makes its way to the main-stream media. Might as well deal with it now instead of waiting for any of the candidates to be swift-boated.

Good job, Larry, of doing your homework and attempting to deal with whatever is being said. Preaching to the choir and being a bunch of cheerleaders doesn't help us to better understand the issues at hand.

I don't know...I think if I had to take a guess, Rush Limbaugh uses king size white sheets for his meetings, no?

I remember listening to Rush Limbaugh when Bill Clinton was running for President. He was so shrill that I thought he was going to have a stroke. I imagine he'll be the same if Hillary wins the nomination. The only thing is...we've been there and heard it so nothing he says or nothing the Republican party will say should be any surprise.

As disgusting as it is to say, this is exactly what I was talking about on my post, When Democrats Screw Each Other.

Watching the debate last night should also show us that the media is not going to let the race issue disappear. They're going to keep picking that scab to make it bleed until the national election.

Great post, Let's Talk.

Watched the first one but don't have time for the second before leaving for work!

Personally I feel the remarks by Hillary were unfortunate; but her point, had she made it more carefully, could have been that it takes a dream, a proponent of the dream, PLUS the political will and ability to make things happen.

Now, there is nothing in that combination that would preclude those roles to be filled all by one person so her reference back to Johnson was disingenuous.

Back in the 1960's the idea of King becoming president in the racially divided country that we were then was not even possible. So of course it took Johnson to execute what King proposed and fought for. But without King, Johnson probably would not have had the impetus or the ammunition to get the legislation passed.

I am not sure what Hillary was up to when she made that remark. I'm sure she has regretted it since; because if she didn't mean to denigrate King, it sure didn't come off that way to many.

I hate it when our candidates give Limbaugh and his ilk (I love that word, ilk) ammunition to spew about.

And don't you hate it when he calls it the "Democrat party"? Ugh.

Talent on loan from your local septic tank. Mega vomits, Rush.

I don't have speakers on this terminal, so it's funny to watch that clown for a few seconds with no sound. I find I loathe him a bit less - 9.9999 instead of 10.0 - when I can't hear his vile garbage.

I tried but could only stomach a small portion of each disgusting video of Rush.

He moves around a lot (remember his horrible imitation of Michael J. Fox? Looks like Rush has problems of his own).... And the PATRIOTIC background music is so early Nazi!

Perhaps we could make some money here to put towards the care of the of thousands of our troops who are returning with traumatic brain injury or PTSD and sometimes even the combo of both....

Let's produce a Rush Limbaugh action figure! Since he can't sit still as he acts out his fantasies through the radio microphone, let's produce a large plastic doll that is playable!

A carbuncle on the doll's behind (which is how he avoided the draft during the Vietnam War) would serve as a push button that would set the arrogant, ignorant figure into a convulsive sequence of squirming, blathering, and jumpy motions.

If one desired sound to accompany the actions of the barbaric thug dolly, one could pull something else to listen to the regurgitating and grunting sounds that Rush L. uses instead of human speech.

Get your Fantastic Plastic Patriot Doll - deluxe models with jack boots available for more dough.

I don't have much to say about Rush, period. But I was curious about something I saw in today's WaPo - that apparently he absolutely can't stand either McCain or Huckabee. I guess I can see McCain - he was part of McCain/Feingold, which is hated for its theory that people, not corporate money, should decide elections. But Huckabee? Surely that man is conservative enough for Rush.

I think it's wishful thinking for Limpbaugh. He's thrilled that there's a "civil war" among the Democratic candidates. I think there's more of a rift between Republicans right now. It's not just a rift between candidates; it's a rift between the 2 opposing viewpoints (true Christianity and Supply Side Trickle Down economics) that make up the Republican Party. I think the Republican Party is coming apart and the Rush O'Hannity crowd won't admit it.

They announced the Oscar nominations yesterday - I can't believe Rush didn't get a mention. He's the greatest actor of all time... the way he read those lines...and that inspiring background music. What a piece of work.
