Nancy Pelosi has Michelle Malkin talking about what she knew about torture and when did she know it. I say if she knew about the torture, then let the chips fall where they may!
In September 2002, current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi toured the CIA's overseas detention sites and saw firsthand the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk.
Bush administration officials have previously said members of Congress were well informed and were supportive of the CIA's use of harsh interrogation techniques.
We now know that Pelosi, Rockefeller, Graham of Florida, and Jane Harman knew something about said torture. Now they must look at the overall picture and allow an investigation about whom exactly ordered the torture of prisoners.

Democrats voted for the war, voted for the surge, and now we find they tacitly approved torture.
For the life of me, I don't know why the Iraq war has been caste as a Republican SNAFU. The Democrats are in this up to their necks, too.
That's why Nancy took impeachment off the table, IMO. Those who saw the torture tapes and were informed there was torture and did nothing about it are trying to save their own political behinds. Nancy is just as guilty as Bush in this issue, IMO, and SHE and those who were with her to see the films should all be brought up on ethics charges, at the very least! I also think that Nancy should lose her position as Leader because of this. She's has just as much blood on her hands in this issue as Bush.
Robert Scheer has an editorial posted on this subject HERE.
I'm no fan of Harmon but she claims she was the only one present to speak against it, though she kept her objections to herself after that. That in itself is unacceptable.
Pelosi hasn't met a torture she didn't embrace, a war she didn't fund and anything Bush she didn't allow.
Yes they are thomaslb, the only thing that you and I see different is that only four Democrats knew about this torture.
Well that's what is being noted at this point.
I agree Mary Ellen, Nancy Pelosi must answer for her actions on torture.
Outstanding link thomaslb, I'll put it on the post sometime today. Thanks!
Great points Larry, I agree as well.
Jolly I agre with you about Malkin, but when one plays in the dirt, they become dirty and should be right there with others that are dirty.
No wonder people keep saying there's no difference between Dems and Republicans. If Pelosi and Harman are Democrats, then what good is the 2-party system?
I think it's teamwork. Republicans yell "Jump!" and Democrats answer with "How high Sir?"
Who Hijacked Our Country
Also, let's let the Chimp fall where he may! Hehehe
Malkin has advocated the building of internment camps, and she is a fanatical, mouth-breathing neocon, so it doesn't surprise me that Malkin, who may well approve of torture, would flip the issue around, deflecting attention from herself and getting on a Democratic leader's case.
Just the same, lack of action on the part of Pelosi is lack of leadership, in my book. If she knew about this crap and did nothing about it, then by all means, she should resign her position to someone who would hopefully have more guts.
Thanks for that link thomaslb, it lays things out very neatly.
lets just end the damm war thats all, at 4 billion a month, that money could be useful at home.
At what point does informing Congress make them complicit?
No sir, I'm not buying into this - I have a few state secrets locked in my head that I didn't choose but out of love of country, that's where they will stay all the way to my grave.
Let's be real about some of this stuff. Especially those of us who have "been there/done that".
We know who's guilty in this incarnation of evil - and it's where the buck stops, the commander , the executive issuing the orders that are being followed - time and time again.
I hope Cindy Sheehan hands Pelosi her hat in the next election.
It really seems that way Tom Harper.
Lack of Leadership is just what we are looking at as you stated Snave.
It sure could be Emmanuel M Liu. It's now more than just the war I'm afraid, but that's the main goal.
You called that right 1138! All of this stops right at the Presidents door.
I hope she wins as well Lizzy!
Looks to ME like JOHN EDWARDS is the only ELECTABLE person who has vowed to end the Iraq war. The only one who promises NO LOBBYISTS at the table. Edwards is the real deal. Pelosi may be dirty, and I would certainly support removing her from her job for dereliction of duty, but if you look into it a bit, you. Malkin? Bitch is breathin' air WE could be breathin'.
