BONDS HITS NUMBER 756

See Original Story

On Tuesday night, in his home ballpark, it didn’t matter how many of them might have been fueled by steroids or performance-enhancers. Bonds has the title of home run king all to himself, ending Aaron’s 33-year reign.

Bonds did it with a shot to the deepest part of the ballpark with one out in the fifth inning against Washington’s Mike Bacsik.

Bonds sent the 84-mph fastball arcing high into the night, 435 feet into the right-center field seats. And then, the celebration began in force — fireworks, streamers, banners commemorating the accomplishment, and even a party in McCovey Cove.

“This record is not tainted at all. At all. Period,” Bonds said.

Oh, lordy, I dislike this arrogant SOB. And I do think the record is tainted - he's dodged answering questions re: steroid use for so long, the avoidance alone taints the record.

A-Rod will surpass him. Sooner, rather than later.

GO CUBS.

The record is not tainted, and the Iraq war is not soiled with lies.

I have been quite vocal about my disgust for Barroid Bonds.

The book, THe Game of Shadows, outlines in detail how this man is a liar, racist, arrogant bag of bat guano.

I love baseball, I have since I was old enough to listen to the games on the radio with my dad and granddad. But I weep for a sport than can not come to grips with how the players cheat to obtain an advantage. Its about the money for MLB..nothing more.

Records are made to be broken, and Bonds has set a new record. He's an incredible athlete any way you look at it. The record books will probably have an asterisk next to his name or some sort of disclaimer about his steroid use, like they did with Roger Maris when he broke Babe Ruth's record because the baseball season was expanded.

Ah, but it is. He deserves a Roger Maris asterisk.
