BUSH SLEEPING ON THE JOB AGAIN

Suddenly King George has told us that he wasn't aware of what was going on again.
This time it was the sale of six US ports to UAE. King George only became aware when federal approval was granted and congressional opposition erupted over the deal.

Scott McClellan said "This didn't rise to the presidential level." My God man, what rises to King George level when this countries security is involved.

McClellan should have awaken King George from his bubble, so as to inform Congress about the deal. But when you're sleeping on the job, things get to others after the fact, just a little to late.

Once awaken from his sleep, King George has made the decision to back his staff decision to approve the sale and will go as far as to veto, for the first time.

You tell us constantly , that we are under constant threat and that you can protect us. You seem to be doing a very bad job at our borders, so how can you do an impossible job at our ports to protect us.

SOME PRESIDENT WE HAVE HERE

President George W. Bush rejected congressional pressure to step in and suspend an Arab company's takeover of operations at major U.S. seaports on Tuesday and vowed to veto any legislation to block the deal.

Bush said "After careful review by our government, I believe the transaction ought to go forward," Bush told reporters aboard Air Force One. If Congress passed a law to stop the deal, "I'll deal with it with a veto."

He said that he was trying to conduct a fair foreign policy.

"I want those who are questioning it to step up and explain why all of a sudden a Middle Eastern company is held to a different standard than a great British company," Bush said.

"I'm trying to conduct foreign policy now by saying to the people of the world 'we'll treat you fairly.'"

The firm, Dubai Ports World
, owned by the United Arab Emirate of Dubai, cut a $6.8 billion deal last week to buy control of the ports - including Manhattan's cruise ship terminal and Newark, N.J.'s, giant container port - from a British firm.

the ports of New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, New Orleans, Miami and Philadelphia are just the start, the other problem is that. The company, Dubai Ports World, would also control the movement of military equipment on behalf of the U.S. Army through two other ports. From today’s edition of the British paper Lloyd’s List:

[P&O] has just renewed a contract with the United States Surface Deployment and Distribution Command to provide stevedoring [loading and unloading] of military equipment at the Texan ports of Beaumont and Corpus Christi through 2010.

Letter sent to Secretary Snow Department of Treasury

Federal law requires the President or his designee investigate the impact on national security of a foreign acquisition if the acquisition "could result in control of a person engaged in interstate commerce in the United States that could affect the national security of the United States." (50 USC App.&2170). The President has delegated this investigation authority to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) of which you are chairman. We understand that CFIUS has chosen not to conduct a formal investigation.

Now just back up Mr. President, how can you say that you would veto anything that will protect this country from the mess you are about to get us into. You say that you are protecting this country?

Then get your butt out there and do what is right to really keep us safe from terrorism and get your Administration to, for once do their job and really keep Americans safe. My God some President we have here!

FINALLY

Senator Pat Roberts said that he wanted the Bush administration's domestic eavesdropping program brought under the authority of a special intelligence court, a move President Bush has argued is not necessary.

The President wants to exempt the program from the purview of the court created by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act

Ohio Sen. DeWine said his proposal called for an intelligence subcommittee with "professional staff" to have oversight. "It would be fundamentally different than doing it by the Gang of Eight.

Democrats and a growing number of Republicans say the program appears to violate the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Some Republicans are also skeptical of the Bush administration's assertion that it has the inherent constitutional authority to conduct the eavesdropping, and that Congress authorized the program when it passed a resolution after Sept. 11 giving Mr. Bush authority to use military force to defend the nation.

Look I know that everyone wants to be safe at almost any cost, but when a President and his Administration go to far, then some branch of government must be willing to correct any and all wrong doings by this or any administration.

CHENEY AND HIS MOMENTS

Cheney...Cheney...Cheney!
These are the moments of Cheney. I would say that they are funny, but due to the serious nature of the events and the hurt he has caused, there's nothing funny about these moments.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales
has not turned over emails to the special prosecutor's office that may incriminate Vice President Dick Cheney, his aides, and other White House officials who allegedly played an active role in unmasking Plame Wilson's identity to reporters.

In early 2004, Cheney was interviewed by federal prosecutors investigating the Plame Wilson leak and testified that neither he nor any of his senior aides were involved in unmasking her undercover CIA status to reporters and that no one in the vice president's office had attempted to discredit her husband, a vocal critic of the administration's pre-war Iraq intelligence.

Aside from the emails that have not been turned over, there are also emails that Patrick Fitzgerald, the Special Prosecutor investigating the case, believes were either "shredded" or deleted.

Witnesses in the case have testified before a grand jury that Cheney, Libby, Hadley, the Pentagon, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the State Department, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Justice Department, the FBI, and other senior aides in the Office of the Vice President, the President, and the National Security Council had received and read a March 9, 2002, cable sent to his office by the CIA that debunked the Niger claims.

Cheney and Bush sure know how to succeed despite breaking or bending the rules. Bush had one DWI; Cheney had two. Bush went MIA in the National Guard; Cheney took five military deferments. This is a rules-don't-matter duo, a shoot-and-don't-tell couple. Kids, pay attention, you can mess up and still become millionaire-leaders of the free world.

Although he was hunting illegally when he blasted Austin millionaire Harry Whittington, Cheney will get off with a warning from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, his office said.

How can Cheney love to shoot and hunt with guns, but when time came for him to serve his country, he came up with five (5), deferments. People in the Service call this a man who can talk the talk but cant walk the walk.

This should let you know America. STOP voting for the party and START voting for the person who will best serve you and this country.

HEALTH SAVING ACCOUNTS AND YOU

CLICK PHOTO

This insurance coverage essentially acts like an individual retirement account, where the money is reserved for any future medical costs. By law, the tax-free savings are meant to cover out-of-pocket expenses that can occur with high-deductible insurance policies.

Instead of paying high premiums every month, the high-deductible plans leave you with a large bill right off, which can run between $1,000 to $5,100 for single coverage and up to $10,200 for a family.

Faced with spiraling medical bills for employees, companies have been quick to embrace health savings accounts as a cost-cutting measure.

Some say This type of insurance could save everyone money in the long run, and by making consumers more engaged, may even improve care. While Henry Waxman, a Democratic Congressman from California said. "The President's health savings account plan combines the worst elements of the President's failed Social Security privatization plan and his Medicare prescription drug fiasco."

The biggest losers under health savings accounts tend to be those with chronic diseases, who blow through their savings by having to continually buy medications. This doesn't have to be the case, as long as the plans incorporate preventive and wellness programs as part of the insurance offering.

Uwe Reinhardt, a health economist at Princeton, says that such savings accounts are ultimately a poor way to fix an ailing healthcare system. The trend of shifting more responsibility to consumers, which started under President Regan, has failed to reduce medical costs overall, nor has it stemmed the rising tide of Americans who go without medical insurance.

The problem, in part, has to do with supply and demand.

"The vast majority of the healthcare items are bought by those who are seriously sick," he says, which is not going to change with a greater use of savings accounts.

This new type of cost awareness may make some question lifestyle drugs like Viagra, but few are in a position to negotiate with hospitals and big drug companies when they really need to.

"Healthcare is not like buying a shirt," says Reinhardt.

Indeed, the intricate medical billing systems make it difficult to comparison shop, he says, and the complex human body is why doctors spend seven years or more in medical training.

What the health savings accounts are really good for, Reinhardt concedes, is making money.

"I have one," he says. "We can buy all kinds of things."

These saving accounts will not help those who have little money to begin with, which means that emergency rooms and the government will be left to pick up the pieces. Even the architects of health savings accounts, who outlined their plans in the book, Healthy, Wealthy and Wise, claim that such broad-scale savings might insure an additional 20 million Americans, well short of the 45 million who are not covered now.

In the end, some experts fear, health saving accounts will simply make it more expensive for everyone to get care.

"These are a sign of how desperate we've become," says Fronstin.

The feedback UnitedHealth has received so far suggests that health savings accounts are working. Yet, a hard to dismiss concern is that greater financial discipline can also drive people away from seeing a doctor.

A study by the RAND Corporation found that greater out-of-pocket expenses cut down on questionable health spending, but at the cost of not seeking out effective preventative care. Those with a low-income who spent more of their own money on health ended up with poorer blood pressure control and were more likely to skimp on annual tests, such as Pap smears.

Stacey of Hewitt Associates says that those who remain healthy tend to benefit the most from these plans. If you suffer an emergency, such as a heart attack, you are likely to break even, since high deductible plans have the same catastrophic coverage as traditional insurance.

The biggest losers under health savings accounts tend to be those with chronic diseases, who blow through their savings by having to continually buy medications. Stacey says this doesn't have to be the case, as long as the plans incorporate preventive and wellness programs as part of the insurance offering.

People with diabetes, for example, can benefit from insurance programs that also focus on lifestyle changes, such as diet and exercise. Still, he and others do not see health savings accounts as the final answer in cutting costs.

If you clicked on the photo above and saw the video, maybe it could help you decide, if this type care will help. I really dont know. What do you think?

WAS OUTED CIA OFFICER WORKING ON IRAN, INTELLIGENCE

According to current and former intelligence officials, Valerie Plame Wilson, who worked on the clandestine side of the CIA in the Directorate of Operations as a non-official cover (NOC) officer, was part of an operation tracking distribution and acquisition of weapons of mass destruction technology to and from Iran.

What will this mean for Libby, Rove and maybe even Cheney, if they violated the Intelligence Identities Protection Act, which is treason to name a CIA agent.

REPUBLICAN NEWS

LIBBY, LIBBY, LIBBY....

Libby has said to the federal grand jury that his superiors authorized him to leak secret information to the press in defense of Bush intelligence used to justify the war with Iraq.

EX-CIA OFFICER FAULTS FAULTY DATA

The former CIA officer in charge of coordinating our intelligence on the Middle East accused the Bush administration of cherry picking intelligence on Iraq to justify the decision already made to go to war with Iraq, and ignore warnings the violence and chaos the invasion would cause.

BUSH KNEW ABOU LEVEES

Congressional investigators now know that Bush lied about the night of Aug. 30, when the levee broke in New Orleans. An account of the flooding from emergency officials reached the Homeland Security Department's headquarters starting at 9:27pm, the day before and the White House at Midnight. So the statement that Bush made about being surprised, was a lie because he knew about it.

ANN COULTER AT CPAC ON RAGHEADS AND ASSASSINATING BILL CLINTON

This Conservative has lost her mind, but the Republican Party dont seem to mind.
She made the statement that "there was one time I had a shot at Clinton".

Google Copies Your Hard Drive

Google today announced a new "feature" of its Google Desktop software that greatly increases the risk to consumer privacy. If a consumer chooses to use it, the new "Search Across Computers" feature will store copies of the user's Word documents, PDFs,spreadsheets and other text-based documents on Google's own servers, to enable searching from any one of the user's computers. EFF urges consumers not to use this feature, because it will make their personal data more vulnerable to subpoenas from the government and possibly private litigants, while providing a convenient one-stop-shop for hackers who've obtained a user's Google password.

WHAT IS IT WITH BUSH AND THE TAX CUTS

To cover the costs of his tax cuts, the White House doesn’t supply projections beyond 2011. Its budget excludes the cost of Iraq and Afghanistan (to say nothing of Iran) after 2007. It omits the cost of fixing the Alternative Minimum Tax—which will total hundreds of billions over the next five years.

The week, the government will borrow $48 billion in financial markets as part of its quarterly debt issuance.

Bush signed a measure to cut $39 billion over five years from the Medicaid health care program for the poor, student loans and other programs.

He also pushed anew for extension of his first-term tax cuts and said if they were allowed to expire, growth and government revenues would suffer.

Two days after unveiling a $2.77 trillion budget plan that would cut or eliminate 141 programs, Bush said he had targeted programs that either were not performing well or were no longer needed. He has also proposed squeezing $36 billion in savings over five years from the Medicare health program for the elderly.

How is it that President Bush keeps saying that the tax cut would help pay down the deficit and grow the economy. Well tell me how long has the tax cuts been in place and what have they done to help pay down this deficit?

This year, we are $423 billion in debt and so far this tax cut has done nothing to help and now to keep this tax cut going. Mr. President you are hurting the average Americans by cutting the programs that help them.

What President has ever gave tax cuts during a time of war and said that it would help the economy and stimulate growth.

Mr. President, you must be so far up in your bubble that you cant even see what really is going on in this Country or maybe you just dont care.

WHAT DID I SAY

Once again some one has told me to stop raving about nothing and start fixing my template and format. I must say that, I'm really trying to get my template together. Now on to my raving.
What did I say on my last post, oh yell. I said that Bush was a former oil junkie and asked if he was clean now. Well it turns out, the answer to that question is NO!
One day after President Bush vowed to reduce America's dependence on Middle East oil by cutting imports from there 75 percent by 2025, his energy secretary and national economic adviser said Wednesday that the president didn't mean it literally.
The Energy Department will begin laying off researchers at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in the next week or two because of cuts to its budget.

A veteran researcher said the staff had been told that the cuts would be concentrated among researchers in wind and biomass, which includes ethanol. Those are two of the technologies that Mr. Bush cited on Tuesday night as holding the promise to replace part of the nation's oil imports.
Well I'm not sayin that I told you so, but I did say that he was talking out of the side of his mouth, sort of speak.
You Conservative college students could face higher interest rates when the banks get squeezed by the federal government. State-led efforts to force deadbeat parents to pay their child support may also have to be curtailed.
Now in reference to Medicare and Medicaid, women on welfare are likely to face longer hours of work, education or community service to qualify for their checks. Recipients of Medicaid can expect to face higher co-payments and deductibles, especially on expensive prescription drugs and emergency room visits for non-emergency care. More affluent seniors will find it far more difficult to qualify for Medicaid-covered nursing care. This is the $40 billion cut over five years that was passed yesterday, which includes the medicaid, welfare, child support and the student lending.
Now I dont care what others are writing on their blogs. This is my blog and this is what I say, and if you dont like it. Then dont visit my blog, go to one of your Conservative blogs and read their lies and follow this President to poverty. King George is leading the rich, and the big business and if you cant see that by now then I'm sorry for you.
Keep coming to my site and letting me know how sick you are of my raving and maybe, by that time the Bush policies will have started to effect you, and I'll have my format, and template fixed by then.
Just remember that God's will is justice, peace and reconciliation and not domination and oppression.

BUSH'S STATE OF THE UNION SPEECH

Now that folks have had time to soak in Bush's State of the Union Speech and hear all the talk about it's good, it's bad, or what ever. It's time for me to give my thoughts on it.
I know that some have told me through e-mail that I rave, that I should put things in the proper format, etc.
Well I'll say to you that I'm sorry that you dont like my raving and my formats, so go now to your proper sites, because here I go again, LETS TALK.

Is Bush in a state of denial, I mean what rhetoric was it we heard Tuesday night from this man. He starts out with speaking about Mrs. Kings death, the same day that his nominee, Alito (I-lie-to), was put on the Supreame Court. Bush is the man who oppose everything Mrs. King fought for. He oppose Gay and Lesbian Rights, Affirmative Action, and he just dumped on the voting rights act.

He gave a speech that was 51 minutes to long, filled with a lot of grandiose rhetoric. He said that America was addicted to oil, now this comes from a former oil junkie. What, he's clean now?

He said that we are to dependant on Middle East oil. Now I might not be right here, but we get about a fifth of oil from them. Why didnt he mention Venezuela, Canada or Nigeria.

This is the same man who wants drilling in the Artic right? He said that the build up of carbon dioxide and other gases from burning fosil fuels will drive up temperature and trigger more catastrophic droughts, floods and heatwaves in coming decades.

He said nothing about increasing milage standards would save oil, but that's not the point. Mr. Bush has been told these things since he came into office and he ignored them.

He had the nerve to ask Congress for the line item veto to reduce government waste. Now why in the world would Congress give up its powers to the executive branch. To the man who never met a spending bill he didnt like.

I liked what he said about federal intiative designed to encourage inovation in the government. I just dont know what he ment by it. Did he mean for us to come up with an ideal for governmernt or to improve our thoughts, what?

If you are a Republican reading this, then close your eyes or stop now, here's where I really start my raving.

Bush speaks of jobs that he's created, but let me just say this to you people who have those high paying jobs, that get on the blogs and just go crazy about how you have this and how you dont want to pay for this hand out or that hand out program and how good you feel to be getting something back on your tax.

Yes you have one of those high skilled jobs right now, the so called knowledge industry jobs. Well let me burst your bubble, these jobs are going over seas to. The big Companies are going to where there's no competition, where there's low cost labor and younger talent. So get ready to say goodby to those jobs that keep you on high.

Now about this health care thing. George dont want you to know that 45.5 million Americans dont have access to health insurance. He talks about something that will never be, health savings. Who in their right minds would actually believe the middle class and the poor can afford health savings. People are trying to pay rent, mortage, and buy food. How can they pay for health savings, and why would you ask them to.

Next week Bush is going to ask Congress to cut the growth of benefit programs such as Medicare and Medicaid in his quest to shave more off the budget for his tax cuts. This will save the tax payers $14 billion and keep him from asking for so much more from China. You do know that they help pay down our deficit, and help pay for those tax cuts right.

But dont forget the 22 million gift certificate that he'll be given the insurance people, off the backs of over 100,000 children that will be cut off from those Medicaid cuts he'll ask for next week.

"Our country needs a vigorous and comprehensive strategy for victory against global terrorism. The architect of 9/11 is still out there but now has an international microphone. We must get back to the real issue at hand - we have to root out and destroy al-Qaeda's worldwide network." This was John Murtha who said this, and I concur.

Mr. Bush you have created a much larger world wide terror organization than there has ever been, with your lack of duty. You should have stayed after Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda and left Iraq alone. There's nothing that Iraq did to us to justify the War that we are in now. Mr. President you took your eye off the prize.

Now if there are still Conservative College Students that support this man, then I'll just say good luck on paying your tuition and the Bank that gives you a loan/with interest, and I do mean interest. It's about as bad as the credit card interest rates that are going up, but that's another time.

I'll just stop now and leave you with this. There's two types of famlies on this Earth, do you know what they are?

They are the Family of GOD and the Family of Satan. Which family are you?

Rep. Lynn Woolsey, D-Calif. offered Sheehan a ticket to the speech — Gallery 5, seat 7, row A — earlier Tuesday while Sheehan was attending an "alternative state of the union" press conference by CODEPINK, a group pushing for an end to the Iraq war. sted
Sheehan, wrapped in a bright pink scarf against the cold, protested outside the White House with a handful of others before heading to the Capitol Tuesday evening. There were no cameras around, but the small band faced the executive mansion and repeatedly shouted, "You're evicted! Get out of our house!"
She was charged with demonstrating in the Capitol building, said Capitol Police Sgt. Kimberly Schneider. The charge was later changed to unlawful conduct, Schneider said. Both charges are misdemeanors. Was it right for Cindy Sheehan to be arrested?
